Licencia

Parameters
Licensor: Javier Hernandez, an individual, together with his
successors and assigns.
Licensed Work: Nepheral, version 0.3.0, and each subsequent version
of Nepheral published by Licensor under this License.
The Licensed Work is (c) 2026 Javier Hernandez.
The Licensed Work was developed in private before its
first public release. No copy of any version of the
Licensed Work was distributed to the public under any
license before that version's first public release
under this License. Every publicly available version
of the Licensed Work is governed by this License.
Additional Use Grant: Subject to the exclusion stated below, You may use,
copy, modify, create derivative works of, and
redistribute the Licensed Work for any purpose,
including production use.
For the avoidance of doubt, none of the following is a
Competing Use, and each is expressly permitted:
(a) Operating one or more Nepheral nodes that join the
Nepheral network, relay Shamir shares, serve
inference to other participants of that network,
participate in lottery selection, and earn, hold,
redeem or transfer contribution credits or other
on-chain units of the Nepheral network, whether or
not You do so for profit and whether or not You
operate at commercial scale. Participating in the
network as designed is the intended use of the
Licensed Work, and compensation received from the
Nepheral network itself for doing so does not make
that participation a Competing Use.
(b) Internal use within Your own organization,
including use by Your employees and contractors,
and including use on infrastructure You rent from
a third party.
(c) Personal, research, educational, evaluation and
non-production use.
(d) Contributing to the Licensed Work, and publishing
forks, patches, analyses, benchmarks and security
research.
Excluded from this grant (each a "Competing Use"): You
may not, without a separate commercial license from
Licensor, offer the Licensed Work, or a work
substantially derived from it, to third parties as a
commercial product or service where that product or
service:
(i) provides those third parties with the substantial
functionality of the Licensed Work as a hosted,
managed, embedded or white-labeled offering,
whether charged for directly, by subscription, by
usage, or bundled into other paid goods or
services; or
(ii) operates, or materially assists a third party in
operating, a network, ledger or credit system
that is derived from the Licensed Work and is
separate from, or competing with, the Nepheral
network, where units of value in that system are
sold, auctioned or otherwise exchanged for
consideration.
"Nepheral network" means the peer-to-peer network
whose chain state descends from the genesis block
recognised by Licensor and whose validator authority is
the key published by Licensor as NEPHERAL_TEAM_PUBKEY
in the Licensed Work, as either may be rotated by
Licensor from time to time.
Change Date: For each version of the Licensed Work, the fourth
anniversary of the date on which Licensor first made
that version publicly available.
This is the same event that the Terms below use as the
outside limit for conversion, so the two dates coincide
for every version. Where that date is uncertain or
disputed, the earliest date on which a copy of that
version was obtainable by the general public governs.
Change License: Apache License, Version 2.0

Work, please contact the Licensor at licensing@nepheral.net.

works, redistribute, and make non-production use of the Licensed Work. The
Licensor may make an Additional Use Grant, above, permitting limited
production use.
Effective on the Change Date, or the fourth anniversary of the first
publicly available distribution of a specific version of the Licensed Work
under this License, whichever comes first, the Licensor hereby grants you
rights under the terms of the Change License, and the rights granted in the

separately for each version of the Licensed Work and the Change Date may
vary for each version of the Licensed Work released by Licensor.
You must conspicuously display this License on each original or modified

terminate your rights under this License for the current and all other
versions of the Licensed Work.

Licensor or its affiliates (provided that you may use a trademark or logo of
Licensor as expressly required by this License).
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE LICENSED WORK IS PROVIDED ON
AN "AS IS" BASIS. LICENSOR HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS,

TITLE.

your works, and to refer to it using the trademark "Business Source
License", as long as you comply with the Covenants of Licensor below.
Covenants of Licensor
In consideration of the right to use this License's text and the "Business
Source License" name and trademark, Licensor covenants to MariaDB, and to
all other recipients of the licensed work to be provided by Licensor:
1. To specify as the Change License the GPL Version 2.0 or any later
version, or a license that is compatible with GPL Version 2.0 or a later

License can be included in a program with software provided under GPL
Version 2.0 or a later version. Licensor may specify additional Change
Licenses without limitation.
2. To either: (a) specify an additional grant of rights to use that does not
impose any additional restriction on the right granted in this License,
as the Additional Use Grant; or (b) insert the text "None".
3. To specify a Change Date.
4. Not to modify this License in any other way.
